Sycamore, American: Light colored
sapwood fading to reddish/pink or sometimes tan heartwood. Medullary
flake in this
species is where the term "sycamore" figure came from.

Teak: Burma, India, Indonesia.
Golden brown with some black usually. Plain sliced and quartered
available. Common
in marine applications.

coarser grain,
but pleasingly textured. A longtime favorite of furniture makers.

Zebrano: Cameroon and Gabon. Golden yellow with
dark veining that gives this animal its name. Often accent/cross
banding material.
